  • The Science paper using our scaffolds to inhibit Covid-19 is out! We have our own versions using different mechanisms for neutralization in the pipeline as well! More to come soon.
  • We are excited to announce that we received extra funding for our Covid-19 projects through FastGrants and Emerging Ventures!
  • Eva gave a talk at the Cell biology seminar series at UGA.

February 2020​
  • Eva gave a talk at the "22nd International Conference on Emerging Infectious Diseases in the Pacific Rim", February 24-27, 2020 in Bangkok, Thailand. Exciting times to be traveling. Covid-19 took over many conference topics.

  • WinterRosettaCon in NYC! Eva is giving one of the keynotes. Karen and Raulia are presenting their work. Great posters!

The new year has started! We are looking forward to an exciting new year.
We have two new members joining the lab, welcome Aditi and Ryan. Aditi is joining the lab and PBS as a new graduate student and Ryan is joining as an undergraduate researcher.

  • Autumn, Jayant and Kaitlyn are joining the lab.
  • The lab receives another NIH grant! This time an R21 for redesigning and screening for immunogenicity of proteins.

Shakers, PCR machine, electroporators, centrifuges and tissue culture room are all set up. We made our first batch of proteins. FPLC got delivered. The lab is set up!

We are setting up the lab at the University of Georgia. We are in the South Pharmacy Building on the third floor now. Also, Dr. Rhythm Shah is joining as a research technician/professional. Welcome Rhythm!

many exciting things are happening this month:
  • The lab receives its first R01 for the design of antivirals and immunogens targeting the Paramyxoviruses
  • and it is final, we are moving to the University of Georgia! where we will be joining the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences.
  • Luana receives the Don Basset Award. Congratulations!!
